Evelyne Postic

Self-taught artist Evelyne began drawing in childhood, exchanging a complex family reality for imaginative worlds and finding escape through color. Although her artistic career started in the 1990s with drawings, paintings, and mixed-media sculptures, the works in this exhibition stem from a path begun in 2006—the year she moved to Lyon and the Dettinger Mayer Gallery showcased her black-and-white drawings. Since then, Evelyne Postic has devoted herself exclusively to drawing, a medium that affords her total creative freedom and an expressive immediacy realizable at any time and in any place.
